2004 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley - SL Cellars
This Pinot Noir exhibits complex violet and rose notes with ripe flavors of blueberries and dark cherries. Its elegant structure is typical of the sandy, Goldridge soils found in the Russian River Valley/Sonoma Coast region. Extended skin contact during a cold soak prior to fermentation accentuates the rich texture without extracting overwhelming tannins.
Price: $30.00 Siblings Clubs: $25.50 / Generations & Most Favorites Clubs: $24.00
2004 Syrah, Dry Creek Valley - SL Cellars
Cherry and berry fruit aromas with smoky notes make this Syrah inviting. Deep in color and with a full and concentrated mid-palate, this Rhone-style blend of Syrah and Viognier bursts with a touch of California color from the Petite Sirah, which also adds a meaty and peppery depth of flavor.
Price: $28.00 Siblings Clubs: $23.80 / Generations & Most Favorites Clubs: $22.40
2005 Chardonnay, Carneros, Napa Valley - Cuttings Wharf (SL Cellars)
This Chardonnay was barrel fermented utilizing natural wild yeast and aged sur lies in 100% new French Oak for 10 months. Stirred to increase the yeast contact and add richness to the mouth-feel, the wine completed its secondary, malolactic fermentation in the barrel as well. Only a light filtration before bottling was necessary to retain rounder flavors without any bitter aftertaste. The result is a combination of aromas and tastes that remind of sweet Meyer lemons, creme brulee, pear compote and warm biscuits.
Price: $25.00 Siblings Clubs: $21.25 / Generations & Most Favorites Clubs: $20.00
