This Grenache has broad, inviting aromas suggesting rose petals and black pepper. Red fruit cranberry and strawberry flavors are fresh and forward.

Aromatic and light, this easy to like white pairs well with pungent, rustic cuisine, and seafood. 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, "Rebecca's Vineyard," Dry Creek Valley - Forth Vineyards
From the steep, terraced rocky hillsides of this spectacular vineyard, one can survey the whole of the estate as well as the whole world around. 2006 Petit Verdot - Sonoma County Mietz Cellars
Some friends offered the Mietz's their Petit Verdot grapes that had just come of age. They jumped at the chance to try something new and creative by making a wine from a little known varietal. They are extremely pleased with the outcome. Although this Bordeaux varietal is elusive and hard to ripen it shows well in our warmer California climate.
WINEMAKING NOTES: This wine is medium dark ruby in color with an aroma of cedar, black fruits and toasty oak. The big payoff, however, is the mouthful which is rich and viscous, the trademark of petit verdot.
